The IBST course is a ski and split-board touring and avalanche skills training course taking place at a backcountry lodge with Indigenous outdoor enthusiasts. We not only want to educate our participants on avalanche safety, but we also want to educate our participants and our guide team on the history of the land on which we operate and recreate.

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada: Calls to Action on education calls for an elimination of educational and employment gaps between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Canadians.

What to expect?

  •  4 days, 4 nights all-inclusive stay at Mustang while learning avalanche safety.

  • Cat-assisted skiing and snowboard touring.
